Welcome! The Graduate Program in Physics at UFMG, classified at level 7 (the highest level, international excellence program) by CAPES, offers Master’s and Doctorate courses in various theoretical and experimental areas of Physics. Created in 1966, the Program has already counted until 2019 630 Master’s Dissertations and 360 Doctoral Thesis.
The Master’s course has two different emphases: Physics and Astrophysics (since 1966) and in Applied and Interdisciplinary Physics (new, since 2020).
Installed on the premises of the Physics Department of the Institute of Exact Sciences, the Program has excellent laboratories and excellent facilities, in addition to a specialized library with more than 6000 titles and full access to the CAPES Portal and other databases.
Our faculty is made up of highly qualified professionals, with high levels of scientific production and fully committed to the quality of the students trained here.
