  • Required disciplines:
    • Quantum Mechanics I
    • Electromagnetic Theory I
  • Advisor defined within 6 months after the first registration
  • Dissertation plan submitted within 12 months after the first registration
  • Defense of the dissertation
  • Maximum time for dissertation defense: 30 months
• DOCTORATE DEGREE
  • 32 credits in disciplines
  • Required disciplines:
    • Quantum Mechanics I
    • Quantum Mechanics II
    • Electromagnetic Theory I
    • Electromagnetic Theory II
    • Analytical Mechanics
    • Statistical Mechanics
  • Advisor defined within 6 months after the first registration
  • Thesis plan submitted within 12 months after the first registration
  • Two semesters as teaching assistant
  • Approval in the Qualification Exam must be obtained between 12 and 30 months after the first registration
  • An article published (or accepted) in a high-level international journal where the student is the main author
  • Thesis defense
  • Maximum time for thesis defense: 60 months after the first registration
