Colóquio 11/11/2022: A View from the CERN Council

CERN is the leading laboratory in the world in the field of experimental high energy physics. It was established in 1954. More than ten thousand physicists from many countries participate in experimentns performed at CERN. I will describe the physics questions that CERN addresses and the spectrum of the activities at CERN. I will outline the process the CERN is passing now to articulate it’s vision for the future.
