Official Invitation Letter for VISA Purposes,
to attend the
XXVII General Assembly of the IAU

If your legal nationality is from one of such countries, you will need an invitation letter from the National Organizing Committee in order to apply for an entry permit to Brazil, no matter if you have permission to live in one country whose citizens do not need VISA to enter Brazil. Please fill in the following form to compose the invitation letter for your VISA application.
The invitation letter, signed by the Chair of the National Organizing Committee, will be send to you
AFTER
the registration has been started and at least one abstract has been submitted. You will be contacted via the email provided in your request, below, when the letter is going to sent to you via post and/or if there are any problems.

Note that, according to Brazillian regulation, your passport must be valid until at least 6 (six) months
after
your first entry in Brazil, as specified in your VISA. For example, if you are going to enter Brazil for the XXVII IAU GA in the beginning of August, 2009, your passport must be valid at least until the beginning of February, 2010.
Specify, please, if you are going to participate effetively of the whole program of General Assembly, or if you are an invited guest (spouse, daughter, son, friend, etc.) of an effective participant.
